ASIA SERVEBEYOND RETREAT - October 2024

Lord willing, ServeBeyond’s Asia region personnel and partners will once again have the opportunity to gather at a resort in Thailand, this time October 18-21 (Fri-Mon) in Krabi. ServeBeyond Director Ike and his wife Trudy are planning to join us.

We will continue what we launched at our 2022 retreat: networking, equipping, onboarding, encouraging, and relaxing. The idea is to connect with one another, ServeBeyond, and the Lord.

Chiang Mai, THAILAND: Beautiful Feet Ministries

Beautiful Feet Ministries supports the growth of the local church through teaching Bible in the church and a student hostel, sponsoring the tuition of under-privileged teenage girls, as well as teaching English to all ages from preschool age children to adults. In partnership with the local church, relationships are developed, the gospel is shared, and discipleship, outreach, and compassion ministries take place.

Chiang Mai, THAILAND: Americana Chinese International School

ACIS, a WASP accredited K-12 school in Chiang Mai, emphasizes fluency in multiple languages for today's global landscape. The school blends English, Chinese, and Thai instruction. In this educational setting the love of Christ is shared with many Chinese students.

Tokyo, JAPAN: Tokyo Multicultural Church

Tokyo Multicultural Church is a Christ centered, Bible based, disciple making EFC church planting project that celebrates God’s grace and truth within the cultural diversity of Tokyo by ministering in English, Japanese, and Chinese. TMC was launched in 2013 by ServeBeyond global workers Dale & Ann Little. Other ServeBeyond personnel have joined the TMC team and are beginning to provide leadership stability. As it becomes established, a financial subsidy is available for TMC through Dale & Ann’s Ministry Expansion Fund.

Saitama, JAPAN: Kanto English Evangelism Program

KEEP reaches children, youth, and adults with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelistic English classes at three EFC of Japan churches just outside Tokyo city.

Victory Church, an EFC of China Hong Kong church, reaches the members, friends, and families of the infamous Triad gang, many of whom have been transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. A ServeBeyond partner pastors Victory Church and through him assists with Victory Church's annual evangelistic banquet.

ServeBeyond’s Asia Seniors Ministry project enriches the lives of seniors in rural areas by introducing programs and providing resources to enhance their physical, psychological and spiritual wellness. The project is a partnership between a local church, local volunteer groups, and retirement home management.

ASIA SERVEBEYOND RETREAT - Oct 2022

After postponing for two years due to covid, we were able to gather Oct. 10-14, 2022 at the Pinnacle Grand Jomtien Resort in Pattaya Thailand for networking, encouragement, and relaxation. The majority of the eleven missionaries and mission leaders from Canada, Japan and Thailand who were able to attend (about half our number) had rarely if ever met in-person.

We connected with God by learning about Jesus’ post-resurrection Great Commission teachings. We also shared with one another about our lives and ministries, and prayed for each other.
